Our Fall Choral Concerts are just around the corner! Here is all the pertinent information:
Monday, October 22, 2018 in the Gregory East Gym
6:30pm concert:
6th Grade Chorus
Men's Ensemble
Mixed Vocal Ensemble
Concert Choir
***6th Grade Chorus report to the West Gym at 5:30pm; Men's/Mixed/Concert Choir students not in 6th Grade Chorus report to the West Gym at 5:45pm.
8:00pm concert:
7th Grade Chorus
8th Grade Chorus
Men's Ensemble
Mixed Vocal Ensemble
Concert Choir
***7th Grade Chorus and 8th Grade Chorus report to the West Gym at 7:15pm; Men’s/Mixed/Concert Choir students not in 7th or 8th Grade Chorus should report to the chorus room between concerts, and have a quiet task (homework, personal reading) to work on.
Attire is the gray "Gregory Music" polo shirt, black dress pants (no jeans/denim, leggings, capris, shorts, or skirts), black dress shoes (no gym shoes), and black socks. Points will be deducted for incorrect or inappropriate concert attire.
Students are required to stay for the duration of their assigned concert (each concert will be approximately 45-50 minutes). Students in Men's Ensemble, Mixed Vocal Ensemble, and Concert Choir are required to perform at both concerts.
8th Grade Musicians of Distinction (MODs)…if you are able to help with setup, please report to the East Gym at 5:00pm.
Parents…we are also in need of some pre-concert supervision prior to both concerts. If you are interested in being an extra set of eyes in the West Gym or chorus room, please email Mr. Pfenninger and let him know for which supervision (5:30-6:00pm or 7:15-7:45pm) you would be able to assist. Thank you!
Also, with the first quarter ending this Friday, please check your current chorus grade in HAC; if you are still missing any assignments, please submit them ASAP. Forms can be found in the “Class Documents” tab of the chorus website if you misplaced any originals. Finally, even though the concert is on Monday, the performance credits and the post-concert reflection assignment will be entered as first quarter grades, so it is important that students complete the post-concert reflection assignment in class or at home on Tuesday or Wednesday of next week at the latest. Assignment details will be posted on Google Classroom the morning after the concert.
