Dear Gregory Chorus Student & Parents,
It’s almost December, and it will be a busy month of preparing for performances in the Gregory music world! Here is a rundown of extra-curricular rehearsals and all performances (extra-curricular performances in BLUE; curricular performances in GREEN):
Monday, December 1 – Concert Choir rehearsal, 6:55-7:45am.
Wednesday, December 3 – Mixed Vocal Ensemble rehearsal, 3:10-4:00pm; Mixed Vocal Ensemble PERFORMANCE at Clow Elementary School; report to Clow at 6:30pm, concert at 7:00pm.
Thursday, December 4 – Men’s Ensemble rehearsal, 6:55-7:45am.
Friday, December 5 – Concert Choir rehearsal, 6:55-7:45am.
Monday, December 8 – Concert Choir rehearsal, 6:55-7:45am; Concert Choir PERFORMANCE at the Gregory Honors Triptych Concert; report to Gregory at 6:30pm, concert at 7:00pm. (Any students interested in helping with set-up should arrive at 4:30pm.)
Wednesday, December 10 – Men’s Ensemble rehearsal, 3:10-4:00pm.
Thursday, December 11 – Mixed Vocal Ensemble rehearsal, 6:55-7:45am.
Saturday, December 13 – Concert Choir & Mixed Vocal Ensemble PERFORMANCE at Spring Brook Elementary School Winter Wonderland; report to Spring Brook at 10:30am; performance from 11:00-11:30am. Monday, December 15 – Triptych Concerts SET-UP (no concerts this day), 7:00-8:00pm. Any interested 8th grade MOD (Musician of Distinction) may assist with set-up.
Tuesday, December 16 – Triptych Concert PERFORMANCES:
6th Grade Chorus & Men’s Ensemble – 12:45pm (for families with last name A-L)
and 2:00pm (for families with last name M-Z)
7th Grade Chorus – 6:30pm (report time – 6:00pm)
8th Grade Chorus & Mixed Vocal Ensemble – 8:00pm (report time – 7:30pm)
Attire for all December performances is NICE, DRESS CLOTHING (no jeans, gym shoes, etc.). Bright, festive colors are encouraged.
Students in our extra-curricular ensembles…please spend time using the practice tracks on the chorus website to review your music. We need to be 100% memorized and polished for our next rehearsal!
In addition, students who have registered to sing for the Solo & Ensemble Festival in February should sign up for a time to come in between December 4-11 to select their song. The sign-up sheet for music selection sessions will be posted on Monday, December 1.
